The Need

Achieving common ground for common good is the business of democracy. In an era when political polarization and special interest agendas too often take center stage, the National Civic Summit invites U.S. citizens - each individual and organization - to re-imagine citizenship for our time.

Key Questions

  • “How can we increase civic imagination and capacity to solve today’s challenges in ways that serve the public interest?”
  • “How do we use technology to move from isolation and overload to effective collaboration and solutions?”

The National Civic Summit is a collaboration of Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie and the Citizens League with civic support by Target Corporation, General Mills and Blue Earth Interactive.
